Barnes and Noble Expedition

October 3rd, 2007

It was a sunny Autumn day when the Willi set out on an expedition; a mission of great importance, one that required a great deal of wisdom for decision making. They were armed to the teeth with purses, wallets, flashy sunglasses, and the ever handy dough. They were going… to Barnes and Nobles!

Okay, so maybe a trip to the nearest bookstore isn’t that dramatic, but still, I love books, I want to make good decisions when purchasing them, and consequently take a long time doing so. :-) I’ve recently began my own collection filled with my favorite novels; they now fill all of one, single row in one of our large bookshelves. (one has to start somewhere, you know) Considering then, my great love of books, you could imagine what fun it was to spend almost an entire afternoon at Barnes and Noble, better yet, to use up my fifty dollar gift certificate – I was like a kid in a candy store!

My entire family are bookworms, so it’s no surprise that most of my siblings accompanied me on my hunt.

‘Anyway, you need people of sort of intelligence on this sort of quest…mission…Thing!’

We split up into three groups; Angie at first remained with me downstairs to look at journals, stationary, calligraphy and the like; Mom and Walter wandered off into various portions of the store to look around.

Two and a half hours later…

We exited Barnes and Noble, mission accomplished. Under my right arm I proudly carried a plastic shopping bag, rather lumpy and bulky, and filled with my recent purchases. It was a difficult and dangerous endeavor, I had fend my way through filthy junk in order to reach the treasure, but in the end I succeeded! Be my guest, and observe extent of my plunder; are they not glorious finds?
