Saying Goodbye
(written Friday, November 16th)
“Let us not say ‘goodbye,’ but as the French have it, ‘
au revoir‘!”
-Mr. Whickham to the Bennett family in Pride and Prejudice

Not even a ‘goodbye’ or ‘au revoir‘ for that matter; I prefer ‘Until we meet again!” because I know in my heart that even though we’ll part for a time, (Lord willing) we will indeed see our dear friends again: this is not the end.

The hardest part of moving for me has been leaving our dear friends, family, and extended family. I and all my siblings have lived in 14 Malstorme Rd. for all of our lives (Mom and Dad for even longer), and over that seemingly short time God has blessed us with a glorious circle of wonderful friends; it’s not easy saying goodbye to them.

We spent our last few days in New York mainly with our friends, visiting from house to house, saying our farewells to everyone. I know I will see them again someday, but that didn’t make the parting any less difficult.

We’ve shared such grand sweet times together, haven’t we? So many memories; memories that I will keep close to my heart forever.

We love you guys so much, all our wonderful, dear friends! We will never forget or replace you. Keep in touch; drop a note, email or phone call. Until then I look forward to the time when our paths will cross again.
May God bless you!
-Kasie

The car tried to drive to your old house after I was done teaching tonight. Monday nights just aren’t the same. I’m glad that you are embarking on a wonderful journey, making memories along the way and following where God leads you. My love to you all.
Hey, I like that slidey thing that happens when comments post. I’m going to watch it again.
What slide show thing? is it able to see the fulsizes after commenting? (i guess im about to find out….. sorry for this nonsence comment)
Ahh yes, my favorite picture. How very lovely. I miss you very much, and yet at the same time I am happy. Is that strange? I don’t know. I can’t say I really understand it. I just know that as you have said, we have shared much together, and all I know is I just feel so full of memories. Just full to the brim. It’s a wonderful feeling (even though – or perhaps because – it is tinged with such sweet, terrific sadness). And yes Esther, I love you both very much, and I smiled because I was happy, very happy; I only ever smile in the way I feel. And that moment I felt such grandness that I guess it ran over. You’re all special to me, in your own ways, and you two are my dear friends. God bless you right back. See, we can play God’s-Blessings-Ping-Pong. Fortunately there’s more than enough balls to bless us all. Have some sunshine, dear ones.
Esther, I use Firefox as my browser and when I submit my comment, it posts it in a sliding down manner, like an unveiling.
