Game Day

November 25th, 2007

It is tradition among the Willi (and their extended family) to officially declare the day after Thanksgiving as “Game Day”. It is a day dedicated to, well, playing games! This year the games came in all shapes and sizes – cards, boards, charades, and even xbox.

It is my opinion that Game Day should be declared a National holiday! (At least it’s a better name than “black friday”, right?) :)

Enjoy the pictures!

They have car racing and football, but we mainly played car racing. :-) I lost nearly every time, and got second place only once, but it was still lots of fun! What do you expect when racing against Jason, Nate, and Walter? Even Justin and Jared can beat me. Ah well.

We were really looking forward to a game day of our own, but then we all got sick… :( And don’t feel bad about losing to the boys Kasie, just ask Jason about the time that 2 year old Justin beat me, Kenny, Brian and Jason at O Heck FROM UNDER THE TABLE!

You bet, national holiday all the way. The only problem however is that there’s only one bunch of Willi to go round, and I’m afraid it’s just not the same without you. I mean, try to have a game day around my house? It’ll end up with Josh on the gamecube, milking it for all it’s worth, a few intermittant attempts at scattergories, and maybe a round of two of spit here and there. Maybe. Or we could try it with the folks at church. Ha. Ha. Right? Come on guys, really, it’s funny. Christine and Esther? Christine never plays anything and Esther rolls on the floor. Brian? No comment. Arielle would stamp on my feet. Face it. Nobody plays games like the Willi, nobody, and that’s just that. But maybe with a little time and practice, we’ll be able to put up a decent sort of our own version, something involving wrestling for Esther, footstomping for Arielle, video games for Josh, and sitting around looking interested for everyone else. Thus ends today’s rant. But I’m sure you guys had a good one anyway. When we see you again, we’ll make sure to have a real one with you. Cheers.
