Photography Practice

November 29th, 2007

As mentioned in a previous post, I’ve been practicing photography with our digital camera, to produce better (at least decent looking) pictures, and so all don’t have to put up with my commonly blurry, grainy ones. Well folks, I’m happy to say I’ve been true to my word, and have faithfully been grasping many opportunities (too many opportunities, my brother would say) to test my skill on the camera and snap pictures.

I’ve take rather a fancy to photography, and although I have no desire to become a photographer in the future, I genuinely enjoy my practice (more like ‘fiddling with the camera’) very much. I begin to observe my surroundings with new eyes, searching eagerly for a neat camera angle, or a sunset to capture. It really is a fun hobby! Plus the fact that I can now share pictures with friends by posting them on the blog has a lot to do with my interest too… :-)

These are a few pictures I took over the past weekend. I must say that the cloudscapes are my absolute favorites. There’s something so magical in the few moments before a thunderstorm – I just love it! But see for yourself which ones you like best.

Clouds: they can be so beautiful! It’s in times like these that I’m so awed by creation, and the Creator. (makes me want to add a Psalm to the captions) How good He is to allow us to enjoy His awesome handiwork.

Very beautiful. I think moments before a storm is my favorite, I also am most fond of your favorite tree, and the mountain cloudscape. I’m afraid I missed you rather severely while reading your post. Sorry. It happens. Keep up the wonderful work. Adios.

Hey Esther, taking a hike in the snow isn’t crazy at all; I’d do it with you if I could. I say go for it! And good luck with your snowflakes!
That is sad, Josh! Shouldn’t you know my name by now? :-) Tsk, tsk. Well, if all else fails, you can always use my ‘initials’ KC…
Thanks Mr. Darcy. Actually, my favorite tree and the one shown in moments before a storm are one in the same; just different camera angles. And there’s no need to be sorry; I miss you a lot too – all of you!
God bless you! (a match of ping-pong begins)
