My Brother’s Family

December 22nd, 2007

This post is for those of our readers who have an interest in seeing the faces of all who we’re living with. :-) (and in case you didn’t know, Jason is my oldest brother, and it’s with he, his wife and his seven children that we’re staying with)

As for those of our friends and family who’ve had the pleasure of meeting them before, haven’t the kids grown so much?

Or something like that. You never can tell with a Willis-related family, they just keep popping up out of holes like gophers. Two kids, Three kids, five, seven, fifteen, twenty-three… And then they try to make them look alike, just to confuse you. I couldn’t tell Angie and Kasie apart for beans for quite some time. I have since been instructed in that particular art form. Beautiful kids, all of them. I like a man who knows how to point a gun at six. That’s the way, my son, you shall go far in this life… Hey, even their parents don’t look too bad when you stare at them hard enough. Though the one on the right does have a bit of a fuzzy face. Ah well. Nobody’s perfect.

Yes Esther, it certainly has been a while! Ah, I’m such a blessed girl to be an aunt of so many wonderful kids!
Angie and I don’t look a thing alike! I mean, we look like sisters of course, but to me it seems that it would be hard now to mix the two of us up. :-) Fuzzy face? Hmm… I see it not. But he’s a loving, godly brother, and Karlyn is a wonderful Mom, friend, and sister-in-law, both of whom I’ve come to admire more and more everyday.
I am just so, so blessed!

And yes, they do keep on popping up. Anybody want to take a guess at how many grandchildren are in our family at the present moment?

You used to look like peas in a pod (at least to unfamiliar eyes), but that was a long time ago. Now Angie is shaped more like a carrot, and you a string bean. Fortunately I hate all above vegatables, or I might have eaten you both up long ago. As for the fuzzy face, you had better put on your glasses my dear, it seems your qualities of observation are a bit dullened of late. Examine the chin in particular and you will discover that there is a definite fuzz factor.

I think mine and Angie’s faces have grown more apart over the years. My head for instance, though full of wisdom it may be (hehe) is shaped like an ‘upside down tear drop,’ with a large forehead, pointy nose, and more sharper features than Angie, who’s face is rounder with a more delicate nose and softer features. Well, these things do happen when one grows older!
So, you’re referring to a few strands of grey hairs? Well now, grey is a sign of wisdom they say, and I care not. A little ‘fuzz’ here and there is actually quite becoming, don’t you think? As for my observation skills, they are as sharp as ever – glasses or not! It’s simply the unintelligible, twisted way in which a certain comment was written; it makes the pathway my superior observation skills foggified. It’s not fair I say! Not fair at all precious!

It is quite a blessing that your family is so like minded!
