PaSSw oRrd$ are so sensitive… is it spaced, not space?, capitalized, not capitalized? – And I don’t know anything about the Revolutionary war. But google helps.
@Esther: Oh, no! Of course not; that’s not what I meant. It’s just that if you had, some of the skills learned there might have helped. But you certainly don’t need to have participated to be a good sleuth! I apologize if you thought that I meant something else.
@Justin: If you’re sure (at least somewhat, lol) that you have the right name, just try it! Caps and without, spaced and not, etc. There aren’t too many options that way. And if it doesn’t take it…chances are you don’t have the right name. It took me quite a few tries before I got it right! (And Google helps a LOT! lol)
Well i could fuss at you more if you wanted a little debate rachel but i wont lol No ya i know. I just cant figure it out and ya justin is right is is case sensative or what?
lol, Esther. No, I don’t want a little debate right now…maybe later.
Rather than posting ‘hints’ on here, if you would like a very small nudge, you can email me: violet1990@msn.com If you do, I promise I won’t give you too much; I want you to solve it on your own! But sometimes it helps to have someone off of which to bounce ideas. lol
Blessings,
Rachel
@Justin
I learned alot about our founding fathers last year with the jt400, but as far as the Revolutionary War, specifically as it relates to the eastern Tennessee area is concerned, I don’t know really know anything either. But I’m learning! I agree that Google is a great tool for aiding in research. I’ve already begun learning about several people/places and events that were totally foreign to me a week ago. I find that this is such a fun way to learn history! Thanks again Willi’s!!!
@Esther
If you have found the ‘hidden’ message, then you have a clue to help you find a specific person. I think you will feel fairly confident when you discover the correct person and at that point you will need to try different variations of capitals vs. no capitals, spaces vs. no spaces etc. But be sure that you verify your spelling for this persons name!!! It is easy to mess up spelling the name. I know. I did the first time I entered it and had to double check for the correct spelling!
I took it to mean the last name was “g_____” or “g_____”… and google is the only way to solve this time-consuming conundrum of history to commonly known selective rurals bluegrass areas. Plus I don’t really have enough time to google something not related to my research paper. :[ Maybe I’ll solve this whole this Thursday night when I don’t have a thing to do. (I’ll be FREEthen! Free-e to dance… (Maybe you know the modern church song) But anyways I don’t kow much about dead people if you pardon my way of looking at it. And I know less about the living – which reminds me of my political research paper. (I know, I have i soooo rough. I’m just whining.)
Did I swear? No, just kidding, ik. Maybe since I am so ahead (or at least appear to be) I can take some time to google it some more. or maybe not. We’ll see.
Ah… yes. I have tired people from Jonny Appleseed to Alexander Zimmerman (not really) and have had no success in any case (that being the letter case – all capitals, no space; no capitals, not spaced; capitalized, not spaced; all undercase, spaced; all capitals, spaced; and correctly.)
And I hate google.
WHY COULDN’T BE SOMEBODY SIMPLE LIKE __________ ________!??!?!!?!?
I probably should not have said that… sorry about that. But I is not being finding anthing useful and as such is not continuating any longer untill the time presents itself in a way that I actually want to spend it doing this. (And by the way, don’t take that the way you might have taken it… I meant it another way.)
