Out With the Old

[gulp] Time to take the big step – I’m wiping the hard disk of the family computer! Out with the old, outdated, pain-in-the-neck Windows 98, and in with Fluxbuntu.

I have high hopes!

    Yes I did! And no, windows did not survive… but the computer did!

    It still has a few bugs that I’m slowly working out, but for the most part, fluxbuntu (a flavor of linux) is running smooth as silk.

    I love it – you type in your username and password, press enter, and within (I kid you not) 3 seconds you have a usable, fully booted desktop.

    And that’s on an older computer….
