Yes indeed - it was pretty fun day! Tomorrow we're going to spend a good part of the day at a large lake; canoeing, swimming - oh yeah! That should be fun!

@Aunt Frances
It's good to have you back! I hope we'll soon hear of all your adventures.

@Andrew
I'm glad you decided to continue your blog. I'm always reading!

I'm glad you found a place to cool off. I'm back from the midwest and will catch up on your blog after I get settled in. I was gone for three weeks!

@violinman
We judged the deepest water hole to be about 8 ft at its absolute deepest. It didn't look that deep, but next thing you know, the water is over your head!

There were 2 other water holes - one was fairly wide across (for a creek, anyway), and the other was a couple tenths of a mile up the creek - very secluded.

Great pictures, reminds me of Swiss Family Robinson. I love the shot of "Mighty Mike" dominating the chair and the surrounding countryside. Watch out for those anacondas, you all look pretty tasty I would venture to observe.

Wow, you guys are so lucky to have a swimming hole like that! How deep does the water actually get? It kinda reminds me of the one at our house all of us swam in, tohugh that one wasn't quite so big.

That looks like so much fun! Once when my family was camping in Tenn, we found a spot very similar to that, and we had a great time in it. It felt like something out of Tom Sawyer!
