Music in the Near Future?

August 14th, 2008

We’ve always loved playing music as a family, and especially worshiping the Lord together. But of course, you guys already know that! God really blessed us with the opportunity to be on the worship team at church in NY for many years. (Good times, eh Mr. Darcy?)

And now I wonder what He has in store for us now. We can’t (or at least, I can’t) shake the feeling that something is brewing….

We’ve been doing the church visiting thing over the past few months, and one of the first questions everyone asks is, “So, do y’all play any music?” We must look really obvious! :)

But then we lead worship for a cute little local church a few weeks ago – and now people say “So, we heard y’all play real pretty music! You should play here!” (I guess in a small town, word travels fast).

So…. We’re praying for God’s wisdom and guidance. Dad says that if something is brewing, jump into the pot!

Here there be comments...

Oh, you know it Walter. So good. When you guys left, the band lost the world’s great bassist, world’s greatest guitarist, world’s greatest pianists and fiddlers too. All that’s left basically in the Hudson Valley is the world’s greatest drummer. *sigh* Lonesome it is. The price of greatness I guess. Those poor southerners, they don’t know what’s about to hit them. Go on, unleash the greatness on ‘em.

WANK (Walter, Angie, Nate, Kasie). Opportunities like the one presented before you are even more rare than a visit from Halley’s Comet (86 years to be exact!!). All the ingredients are present and accounted for. So get movin’ and groovin’. Aim for SOMETHING! If you aim for NOTHING as a target you will probably hit NOTHING!! Your loving parents are behind you all the way

Honestly, I think we should go for it! If the Lord wills it, then He’ll make a way for us to do it. (like handling the situation of walking up to a pastor and saying “hey! we play music. can we do worship next week for you guys?”) :-)

Thanks you guys for backing us up! Continue to pray for us.

How exciting! Are you going to be making a cd? or should I say WHEN you make a cd please let us know :-) Your music is such a blessing, enjoyment, and encouragement to listen to. May the Lord continue to bless all that you put your hands to!
