…When our house was put together!
Here’s a quick video that I put together for Oakwood Homes. Most of the footage was taken by Mom – way to go Mom!

rather long and some what boring lol but good I like the first and last shots how did you do that so perfectly with out shaking do you have a rolling tripod or something?
You have to understand, Esther. This video was designed for Oakwood Homes to use for new customers. New home buyers (like us) have many questions like,
“How will they transport the home?”
“Can they make it through country roads?”
“How does it come together?”
etc.
To a couple who is about to buy one of these manufactured homes, this video should be at least mildly interesting – hopefully fascinating. (As it was to us when we watched it all live). The Oakwood salesmen have told us that they’ve had customers watch the long version of this video for 15 minutes and longer!
Yes, I made a dolly track out of PVC pipe, some hardware, and skateboard wheels. It cost a pretty penny – somewhere in the $70 – $80 range.
OH oooops lol i didnt pay attention to what you wrote about it..they actually used it neato!l yes it would answer those questions for them haha. But i still think its boring but in an interesting way… did you het payed?
Wow. That’s a complicated solution… and still very cool.
I would have imagined you did it with steady hands…
But then again… I guess that might be fail-safe as opposed to the old manual procedure that I use.
Interesting. Show it to us sometime. (In a picutre, you know. On this blog.)
I haven’t had my caffeine this morning. Argh.
Sorry about the pronoun ambiguity problem. I usually avoid them. Need to wake up.
“I guess that might be fail safe” does not refer to manually doing it. It mean your method with the track.
Heh. (gets up to make some coffee)
I wish I could do movies. We have the camera – we have the software – now, for the patience. *smile*
I can’t wait to see what that property looks like in the spring – after you’ve been there to water and what not.
Thanks for sharing!!!
Blessings -
