By the Fireplace

October 28th, 2008

We never owned an indoor fireplace until we moved here, into our new house. Recently we had it changed from a wood to a gas fireplace, and now with the cold months settling in, we can finally put it to use! It turns off and on by itself, depending on what the temperature is inside.

There’s nothing quite like warming yourself by the fire after a chilly day outside! Now I can do that everyday. :-)

Well we do have a wood fireplace – outside! :-D

Seriously though, at the bottom of our hill (“downstairs” we call it, for whatever reason…) Dad dug a fireplace into its side. Every weekend or so we usually spend an evening down there, by the fire.

Like I said, I’ve never dealt with a wood fire inside, but this gas contraption thingy… It’s nice.
