A Ladies’ Knitting Party

November 21st, 2008

Last week Mom, Angie and I gathered with several ladies from church at our friend’s house for breakfast and fellowship – “Kathy” was to teach us all how to knit dishcloths.

I already know the basics of knitting (as do Mom and Angie), and I enjoyed very much making my dishcloth, but the best part was the fellowship we shared that morning. It was so neat to be in the company of like-minded, godly sisters in the Lord! Our “girl talk” was edifying, encouraging, lively and pure – it all reminded me of Titus 2.

God blessed our time together so much, we’re going to do it again! :-) Once a month or so we’ll get together and learn many other ‘lost arts’ in our culture today. After we get knitting down, we’ll move on to crochet, tatting, cross-stitching, and other useful crafts.

Here are some pictures from our morning together;

I loved our knitting party – I can’t wait until our next meeting!

P.S. Many thanks to Valerie for providing all the pictures! :-)

Here there be comments...

    I am glad you had a great time. Great pictures too.

    Thanks for commenting on my new design. It does looks familiar, doesn’t it? ;)
    I really love the template, and I hope I can change the header image soon.

    Have a blessed day!
