Just Three More Days…

…’til Christmas.

Wow! Where has the time gone? Has it really been a year since we spent our first Christmas away from New York?

This year is a special Christmas: it’ll be a first for Providence Glen! Our friends have told us that, whatever house you move into, it’ll feel more like home after spending Christmas there.

Since then we’ve put up all our decorations, trimmed the tree and hung stockings over the fireplace. (we even held our first party here!) It all looks so cozy, inviting, and warm…

…and about what our friends said? I think they’re right. It does feel like home. :-)

What’s everybody doing for Christmas this year?

That does sound like fun! We used to go to my grandparents’ on Christmas Eve, but New York is a little far to drive for that, so we’ll be starting our own traditions. :-)

This year we’re simply staying at home. Dad has to work on Christmas day, so we’ll have our Christmas with him during the morning, then just chill/relax (or “chillax” as my Grandma likes to say) for the rest of the day. On Christmas Eve our friends (Valerie and Evan) will be joining us for a time of fellowship, games and Christmas movies; on the weekend we’re going to see my brother and his family (while Dad’s off from work) and have our Christmas with them.

So anyway, those are our plans. You have a good Christmas too!
