It’s Our Anniversary!
We have officially been living in our new Tennessee home for one year! Oh, has God been good to us indeed this year!
Just last week at Bible Study, our small group leader asked us to reflect on what the Lord has done in our lives during the past 2 years. Nate and I smiled at each other from across the room. We were both thinking of how much has changed and taken place in just two years.
I mean really! Think about our major happenings since 2007:
- we sold our house in NY and moved to Virginia for a time. That was a huge step in itself! Thanks, Jason and Karlyn, for giving shelter to us poor, homeless folk for all that time!
- over the course of a few months, we bought land, house, and moved to Tennessee. Not to mention that God providentially provided Dad with a great job!
- we started a family band, “The Willi”, and recorded our first ever album! That was amazing! Still is amazing. We’ve got quite a few local summer gigs to play at, and even one reserved for 2010! We’ll go wherever God takes us. It’s His ministry, and all the glory goes to Him.
- within only a year (actually about 6 months, if you want to get technical) we are settled into our community, our church family, and have been blessed with the dearest of friends! (just check out some of the great times we’ve had together!)
All I can say is “wow”! While I know that there’s great wisdom in being visionary and looking forward in life, I also think there’s a time for looking back and reflecting on what the Lord has done for us. Life certainly isn’t easy, but when I see these bullet points, I can think only of God’s goodness, His blessings, His forgiveness, His patience, His grace, and all of what He has taught me. It’s an incredible pondering!
So, in closing, HUZZAH for the first our first year in Tennessee!
And to our dear friends in New York, we love and miss you guys so much, and can’t wait for you to come see us! (c’mon, you can do it!
) Hopefully we’ll see you all soon.
To God be the glory!
-Kasie

Can i move in? im getting bored up here in NY lol Naw jk ya what amaizing stuff!
God sure is great! Can’t wait for next year! Will be nice to finally meet, Lord willing.
We are so glad you are here. The first time I met Walter and Angie, I saw you standing side by side, gazing up at a museum exhibit on the wall. Then Donna and Mike downstairs in the hallway, but I recognized you from wandering around the museum while we all listened to the curator. And Kasie and Nate, sitting on the benches or chairs, I think.
Then I ‘meet’ a friend over the internet and it turns out he knew you from an event in another state none of us live in.. LOL Too funny!
Small world, soon to be even smaller.
@Salome
Dreams almost never make sense!
I’m really looking forward to next year too! Funny you should mention our meeting each other…I just had a dream last night that it happened! We each drank three cups of tea and watched a movie, or something like that.
@Faith
I’m so glad we met you guys! You’ve been such a blessing to us all. We love you!
Hehe… oh my gosh Kasie, you’re not serious?! Wow! Amazing you should say that. But the reason behind that statement you’ll probably only hear when we meet.
Ok, are you sure it wasn’t coffee, because I’m a coffee addict? Or perhaps I just drank the tea because you like it, lol.
If I may ask… what did I look like in the dream?
I must admit, I while back, I also dreamt that we met and you sang for us outside a few nights before the conference.
I’m very curious to see how God will unravel all these mysteries.
Out of politeness, I’m sure.
What you looked like? Okay, let’s see what I can remember…you had dark brown hair pulled into a loose ponytail, round face, glasses, tall and medium built. Is that remotely close to your true appearance?
Can’t wait to meet you! (and see how you pronounce your name – lol!)
Wow… *shocked* Yes, that is a pretty accurate description of my appearance. Congratulations! Yikes!
Oh, I guess I’ll have to give pronunciation lessons for my name. I wonder why it’s so difficult to pronounce? Lol.
But if it would make things easier for you in the meanwhile, you can call me Lomé.
Can’t wait to meet you either.
Oh… the only little correction I need to make is that I’m not very tall.
