You remember that day, right? First day at Fort Pocohontas for the celebration! I was physically exhausted, and feeling a little sick. But despite all of that I had a fabulous time! Here Mr. Phillips caught me taking a break from it all I guess. :-)

My father died in 1998, and I was thinking about him (which I do often - especially as I raise my own kids). Your list included several things I could have said about my dad. My dad did travel a lot with his work - so I don't really have memories of him 'living' with us - per se, However, that is one thing that you said that could not be said about my dad...and that was "Thank you for teaching us to fear and love God. He is everything to me, and I’m so glad I was introduced to Him at a young age, because I had you and Mom, as examples." While my father did live out 'biblical principles' - he never taught us about God - either to love Him or fear Him. I was thinking of all the contributions that my father made to this world in his life - and it was all chaff. He received the world's acclamations - but in the end he denied Christ (verbally, just 2 months before his death). You are truly a blessed young lady - and I, too, am blessed to have a Father that can redeem the time.
