At the Movies

~Ashlee, Josiah, Elijah and I at the movies

~and…everybody else! Wow we took up a lot of space!

We all followed Jeremy’s excellent example in the previous picture, and decided to show our enthusiasm. :-) It’s nice to practically take up one whole theater by ourselves! An advantage to matinĂ©es.

Have a great day!

Exodus: The Story of Moses

January 25th, 2010

What a fantastic weekend we have had! All four performances of the Exodus ballet went very well, no major hiccups or mishaps – only fond and funny memories. It was such a blessing to be apart of this production working backstage – Nate, Angie and I all had a grand time, as I’m sure Walter did dancing on stage!

I tried taking pictures from my usual standby near the curtain, but it’s such a horrible angle for photography with lights in the way and such. However, a friend of ours took lots of pictures from the audience, so I “borrowed” quite a few of those. :-) View as many or as few you like, and be sure to look for Walter!

Good times indeed! I hope to be involved next year too!

I don’t know what Nate was thinking, or trying to do when I snapped this picture.

Hairstyles

January 21st, 2010

I decided to fool around with my hair a little bit. And this is what I came up with…….

For some reason I found those butterfly sun glasses in my room

I kept trying to get my hair like this, but I couldn’t quite get it :(

Thats better!

Ballet Rehearsals!

January 20th, 2010

~Walter, in one of his roles as a Hebrew man

Show time for Exodus: The Story of Moses is this weekend! That means lots of rehearsals for us! Walter’s the only one dancing in the ballet, but Nate and I are in the backstage crew moving props, managing curtains and backdrops, and Angie is kept very busy helping dancers with quick changes and makeup. We’ve been at the theater nearly everyday this past week! All is looking great; I think we’re ready.

~The guys show their manly 1st position :-)

I’ll see some of you opening night, this Friday!

Ah, the Country!

January 18th, 2010

~A picture I snapped while on a walk with Nate last week. After a long period of cold temperatures in our area, it felt great to get out and get some exercise!

I just love living in the country!

Huzzah!

January 14th, 2010

Kasie’s finally changing her avatar!

Okay, so it’s been almost 2 years since the installment of my commenting avatar, I figured with the new year and all, it was time for change.

I’m so happy – I have a new avatar! :-P

Have a great day!

On a Saturday Afternoon

January 11th, 2010

After a week of minimal activity outside of our home (due to extreme cold and icy weather, and therefore cancellations in our schedule) we were delighted to have our friends over to spend the afternoon with us! There was still some snow on the ground from the last snowfall, so the boys decided to try a bit of sledding.

Yes, those are boogie boards. Ingenious, is it not? They’re actually quite slick!

Let’s try this surfing style!

Yeah, I guess that didn’t turn out too well! :-) But what’s sledding without a few wipeouts?

Evan tries the ‘bobsled skeleton’ style!

…while Nate goes with the traditional, good ‘ole sitting down strategy.

Go guys, go!

Time to go inside! We’re done here.

And of course, our time outside wouldn’t be complete without a quick pic of the photographer for the day! who was, actually, unable to go sledding (let me rephrase that: able to go sledding but forbidden) because she had her wisdom teeth taken out earlier in the week. Oh believe me, she wanted to sled, but she’ll just have to wait for the next snowfall. :-)

Two of tem are the mafia, and their identity remains a secret.

…only by careful listening chance to suspect who the enemy is.
