On a Saturday Afternoon
After a week of minimal activity outside of our home (due to extreme cold and icy weather, and therefore cancellations in our schedule) we were delighted to have our friends over to spend the afternoon with us! There was still some snow on the ground from the last snowfall, so the boys decided to try a bit of sledding.
Yes, those are boogie boards. Ingenious, is it not? They’re actually quite slick!
Let’s try this surfing style!
Yeah, I guess that didn’t turn out too well!
But what’s sledding without a few wipeouts?
Evan tries the ‘bobsled skeleton’ style!
…while Nate goes with the traditional, good ‘ole sitting down strategy.
Go guys, go!
Time to go inside! We’re done here.
And of course, our time outside wouldn’t be complete without a quick pic of the photographer for the day! who was, actually, unable to go sledding (let me rephrase that: able to go sledding but forbidden) because she had her wisdom teeth taken out earlier in the week. Oh believe me, she wanted to sled, but she’ll just have to wait for the next snowfall.

Hey is that a road your sledding on or your driveway??
)
And Kasie, glad you had some wisdom left not to go sledding-haha! Can’t ever be too sure after those WISDOM teeth get removed! hahaahahohohohahahaha
Yes that snow effect is really quite charming
Gabi’s comment made me laugh. It reminds me of something I might say.
@HAF: The funny thing is, I felt rushed to type it b/c I knew I would be beating somebody to it!! HA! Now I know who!
@HAF
That is something you would say!
@Gabi
I’m afraid my wisdom left me with the teeth, for, had I not been specifically forbidden to sled, I would’ve gladly gone down in a sled! I was perfectly recovered, and unless I banged my chin on a rock I would’ve been fine.
And that’s the road the boys are sledding on. I was also on the watch for cars, but none came thankfully!
