Yesterday…

March 19th, 2010

…I planted potatoes in the garden…

…I rode Sully bareback around the property and got all hot and sweaty…

…I took cool shower for the first time in months…

…I ate a smoothie for lunch, and didn’t have to sit by the fireplace afterwards…

…I put on my ‘flowiest’ of skirts, and walked barefoot outside…

I know Spring isn’t officially until tomorrow, but this sure feels like the real thing!

Well of course I don’t ride like that, but just when we’re standing (and for pictures! *grin*) it’s quite fun! Cross-legged, side saddle, backwards… My favorite position is to lie on his back; I trust him, and plus my boy is incredibly comfortable! :-)

    Sounds like a great day!!!

Want to know something funny? I never knew there was an official “first day of spring”…It doesn’t surprise me that there is one, but I’ve only ever counted down to the first day of summer and winter. lol

I woke up to a white backyard this morning. All the earlier snow had melted and the river was over its banks a bit, but true to form for this neck of the woods, we had snow. We probably will again before it’s done for the season.

I DID spray the tulips and the chestnut sapling with Liquid Fence yesterday. Have to keep a jump on the wildlife around here:)

    Kasie~

After hearing about the first day of spring, I assumed there was a first day of autumn……

I guess you can tell that where I live there are two main seasons: summer and winter. You never know when spring or fall are going to begin, or if they’ll even come at all!

    lol :)
