On the steps of our county courthouse, The Willi played patriotic music, and Walter gave a speech. The paper even did a huge write-up about it!

Here are some videos for those of you who weren’t able to attend! (Those receiving these updates via email need to click to our website in order to view the videos).

Feeling Out of the Action!

July 1st, 2009

Reformation 500 Treasure Hunt in Boston

Gah! I don’t know whether to scream, cry, or just smile. Being out of the action is insanely frustrating! :) Anybody else feeling this way?

Sigh…. I’m OK. God has us where we are for a reason. After all, we wouldn’t be able to participate in tomorrow’s rally if we were in Boston!

God is good. But I must…. stop….. wanting…… to be……. someplace……. else…..

From and For the Guys…

June 25th, 2009

To our male readership:

Nate and I apologize for this slew of “feminine fashion” posts all week. It’s like our blog has been hijacked, temporarily stripped of everything manly and virile. (No, the airsoft picture doesn’t count). But we’re enduring it as best we can, and are sneaking in this post to encourage you to hang with us till the end of the week!

In other news…

Nate and Walter provide their amazing manly perspectives on fashion…

In this photo, you’ll observe Nate wearing an extremely well coordinated get-up, consisting of a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. Walter on the other hand, has opted to go for the shorts and t-shirt look. (There’s a subtle difference). His hand-me-down “Mustang” shirt provides a perfect amount of color, and flatters his body build.

“We’ll just be walking down the street, or digging a ditch,” Nate and Walter remark. “And people will just randomly ask us, ‘How do you do it? Your fashion is impeccable!’. Guess it’s a gift or something… All we do is reach in our drawers, and put on the first pieces of clothing that we pull out!

Don’t Believe in Yourself

June 6th, 2009

This is the really short speech that I made at Angie’s homeschool graduation.

“You Will Never Leave Me”

June 1st, 2009

Here’s a new song that we played for the home school NHEA graduation ceremony. The sound turned out a bit echo-y, but other than that, it wasn’t that bad.

Happy Birthday!

Happy 20th Birthday Walter!!!

I’m Off!

April 23rd, 2009

Keep us in your prayers! Mom, Angie and I are off to be with my brother and sister-in-law as they welcome a new member to their family.

Yep, I believe today’s the day! We’ll have to wait and see. News will be coming I’m sure…

Ta, ta!

The Witherspoon School – A Must For Our Generation!

April 18th, 2009

Witherspoon School of Law and Public Policy

There is an uneasyness in families across America that is quickly growing into restlessness. Through the “Tea Parties” we have expressed our frustration and indignation over high taxes, socialist government, etc. We know that something is seriously wrong, but we only have vague ideas of what that thing is.

“We need to put God back in schools!”

“We need to follow the constitution!”

“We need another Ronald Reagan!”

“We need ________ !” (fill in the blank).

Are these the things that we truly need? Why do we need them? It is my personal belief that unless the grassroots “Tea Party” movement figures these questions out, it is doomed to eventual failure. Sure we might score a political victory, but without a Biblical understanding of law and government, we don’t have a foundation to stand on.

Enter the Witherspoon School of Law and Public Policy!

As Vision Forum Affiliates, we have had the opportunity to listen to and review these CDs; and I’m not exaggerating when I say that they are awesome!

This is not some “Best of” fluffy little audio series. This is the entire 2008 Witherspoon conference, 24 CDs, over 20 hours of meaty teaching. The lecture topics are both foundational and practical, and include:

  • Christian Jurisprudence: Biblical Law, Natural Law, or Postive Law?
  • What the Bible Says About Female Magistrates
  • An Introduction to the Theology of Church and State
  • The Significance of the Electoral College
  • Introduction to the Christian Foundations of Western Law
  • And way, way more!

These are things that the “Tea Party People” need to know! What is Biblically based law as opposed to Natural Law? What is Positive Law, and how has it wreaked havoc on the 20th century?

We haven’t had time to listen to all of the CDs yet, but we look forward our next long car drive. :)

Happy Anniversary!

As One

Who am I to be worthy of, this gift from above
Who am I to be worthy of, this faithful love?
The Lord in all His Sovereignty, and according to His plan
The two became one, by the power of His hand

One thing, that we’ll always remember
It’s God’s love, that brought us together
His love, caused us to grow
And God’s love that made us as one

Looking back on the years, smiling at the memories
Looking back on the years, thanking God for His mercy
His brought us a long way, and there’s still yet to go,
But no matter what happens, we will always know

One thing, that we’ll always remember
It’s God’s love, that brought us together
His love, caused us to grow
And God’s love that made us as one
